Tasmania Roadtrip - Week 4 - Hastings Caves

We had read quite a bit of information about this thermal area and caves at Hastings Visitor centre before our tour but it makes much more sense when you have a guide to explain it all as you go. Bottom left is a cross-section through a stalagmite showing the growth circles. Judging by its size it was many many thousands of years old when it broke off.
